From Subway Stalls to the World: A Pandemic Graduate's Pet Product Journey

I graduated during the pandemic—diploma in hand, no job in sight.

To fight the post-grad blues, I started small. Really small. I bought pet products from local factories and set up a stall at subway stations and plazas. Summer was fine. But winter? Freezing. Standing for hours in the cold, hoping for just one more sale. Tough, but I kept going.

Two years later, I'd saved enough. And with my English degree, I thought: why not take this global?

E-commerce was booming. I started listing products online. That first international order felt like magic—someone across the ocean trusted me to make their pet happy.

Today, that little stall has grown into a business connecting pet lovers worldwide. Every toy we ship carries a piece of those cold winter nights and the dream that kept me warm.

Sustainability, to us, is not defined by the size of our company but by the ripple effects of everyday choices. Though we are a small business, we care deeply about the growing number of pets that end up as strays, struggling with poor nutrition and unsafe living conditions. We believe that even a modest purchase from our shop can carry a larger meaning—a tiny act that, when connected to a purposeful system, turns into something that heals.

Our voice in this area has gradually grown as we have learned to link customer actions directly to tangible outcomes. Every small order placed in our store is indirectly converted into a visible donation for abandoned animals. We work closely with local animal welfare organizations to rescue and support stray cats and dogs, making sure that each contribution—no matter how modest it first appears—helps provide food, medical care, and a second chance. Each year, we set aside approximately 2% of our profits to fuel this cycle of compassion.

We have come to see that sustainability is also about transparency and connection. When customers choose to shop with us, they become part of a quiet chain of kindness: their everyday decisions, multiplied over time, translate into real rescue efforts on the ground. This understanding has deepened our own commitment. Though we remain a small company, we will continue to prove that small acts—by both a business and its customers—can add up to a visible, lasting difference for the abandoned pets who need it most.
